English is the official language on St. Lucia. A French-based patois, a legacy of St. Lucia’s dual British- French heritage, is the dialect most often spoken by the local people.

Business hours are generally from 08.00 a.m. to 04.30 p.m. Monday to Friday and 08.00 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. on Saturdays.

St. Lucia’s excellent telephone system allows international Direct Dialing. Payphone card, E-mail, Wi-Fi, Internet and Facsimile services are available island-wide.

The electricity supply is 220 volts, 50 cycles AC island-wide. Most hotels are equipped with 220 and 110 volts in the rooms.
